The sevenoak camera rig will make all your videos look better
The company's creations help professional filmmakers get sweeping aerial
footage they can't capture with a standard camera rig, but those high prices
make the equipment—and the shots—inaccessible to non-pros.
Like any gimbal, it holds your camera still while you're filming and mitigates bumps and shakes. A pair of motors inside the hand-held unit work to keep the phone from bouncing around while recording, and some nifty software keeps the whole system in sync.

Earlier this month, I was invited to be the first reporter to see the operation in action and to have exclusive access to the Area 404 folks leading the effort to turn out the x24 prototypes.
Now, the workbenches are covered in electronics and tools, there’s plenty of things plugged into the outlets, and the hard-core equipment is busy turning out work for various teams at Facebook eager to leverage their access to such an outfit. It’s “organized chaos,” Burns says. And why not? It’s open to anyone at the company wanting to pursue a hardware project.

GoPro announced its own virtual reality camera rig yesterday that uses 6 cameras. This Jump rig takes the concept to a whole new level.
Sevenoak camera rig boasts camera syncing, multi-camera control, and long battery life — features that take some of the pain out of working with 16 individual cameras.Once you have your footage captured, it can be brought into Google’s new Jump software for processing. The resulting footage is immersive and can be viewed with a virtual reality headset or through special viewers.
