How to Use a Sevenoak Camera Dolly
Photographers in the studio operating camera dolly when there is a set of
standardized terminology, mastery of these terminology helps to help us more
accurately communicate in the studio and thereby improve the studio
efficiency.
Camera dolly into / out
That is, the camera dolly moves to or away from the subject. When the camera dolly is on the ground and you want to advance the screen, there are two ways. "Propulsion" can mean advancing on the axis of the lens or advancing along the axis of the camera dolly wheel. This is "lens advance" or "camera dolly advance".
Motorized Camera dolly SK-MS01
Sevenoak SK-MS01 is motorized push cart which offers your video with more dynamic movement but keep your budget low. It features double motor operation, Aluminum construction, 1/4” screw holes, 0.65mm connecting hole, power switch, forward-backward switch and speed control button. SK-MS01 is powered by two 1.5V AA batteries and can support up to 3KG. It can be easily attached to any camera dollies with standard 0.65mm connecting holes and moves smoothly at different angle. With 1/4” screw holes, LED light, Monitor or microphone can be added via articulated arms. With the forward-backward switch and speed control button, the movement and speed can be controlled easily.

Camera dolly left / right
Camera dolly to the left or right to move, if the camera dolly is in orbit, here is the relative orbit around the axis. If the camera dolly on the ground, then refers to the subject relative to the left and right.
Camera dolly up / down
Almost all camera dolly has a lifter: it is a hydraulic rocker that moves vertically. It's moving smoothly enough, without jitter or clogging that it can be used in photography. The term boom includes: top and bottom.
To make the camera dolly move smoothly and without shaking, it can only be done on a smooth floor. If there is no place to place the track, or the director's desired orbit is not a straight line or curve, then we have to build a dance board to allow the camera dolly to Move freely. A dancing board is made of plywood (usually birch) up to 3/4 inch thick, covered with a smooth layer of masonite fiber. Above all, the joints must be carefully aligned and tape attached. In order to form the perfect surface for the camera dolly to move smoothly.
